[Hygienic characteristics of daily ration, designed for military servicemen doing call-up military service].

The article gives the hygienic characteristics of the daily diet of soldiers doing call-up military service. The object of study--military servicemen aged 18-22 years doing call-up military service. The material of the study data was obtained from a continuous cross-sectional study of dietary intake among military personnel. Investigation pointed out that consumption of nutrients and energy value of the surveyed military personnel was broadly in accordance with recommended physiological requirements for nutrients and energy for this age group. However; despite the adequacy of energy supply, showed signs of imbalance on the nutrients of rations provided in the military establishment. Structure of consumption of products is not in full compliance with the existing recommendations of the Kazakh academy of Nutrition.

[Morbidity in draft military personnel].

Military service activity appeared to influence health state of military personnel. Body strain at initial stages of the service, connected with stress situation, affects general body resistance and manifests in higher general morbidity level with transitory disablement that decreases with adaptation. Based on normalized intensity parameters, the equation enables to ease a procedure of evaluation and forecast of transitory disablement morbidity in draft military personnel.

[Evaluating work intensity in major and auxiliary occupations of by-product coke industry].

The article covers evaluation of work strain in major and auxiliary occupations of by-product coke industry. The study results conclude that occupational activity of by-product coke industry workers, under exposure to occupational hazards, affects the workers' performance. Major occupations workers demonstrate higher level of functional strain of CNS, poor concentration of attention and lower ability to switch over, decreased general performance, vs. the auxiliary occupations workers who demonstrated increased cardiovascular and neuro-muscular strain due to occupational activity.

[Mathematic evaluation of various factor influence on functional strain in military servicemen].

The article covers mathematic assessment of factors characteristic for draft army service on functional strain in draftees. Study objects--draftees aged 18-22 years. The studies were conducted in the beginning, in the middle and in the endof draft army service, and in urban and rural area. The study included physiologic and psychometry tests. Findings are that mathematic modeling cannot remove methodic errors completely in elaborating the criteria for functional strain, evaluation and forecasting the current performance of the draftees.

[Functional assessment of stress and resistance of the body of soldiers on the stages of an emergency service].

Service in the armed forces takes place on the background of tension of different systems of the body and the level of stress depends on the stage of passage performance. The highest level of stress is voltage observed at the initial stage, which affects the general state of health of the soldier, his successful performance of professional duties and, consequently, reducing the overall resistance of the organism. The results obtained indicate a high "energy" cost of passing military performance.

[Peculiarities of adaptation of servicemen service].

Review of issues about the adaptation of servicemen in the process of military service is presented. Characteristics of military service, conditions and levels of official-military activity, peculiarities of adaptation, factors providing progression of psychosomatic diseases and dysaptation, concept "occupational health" are considered.

[Hygienic evaluation of air pollution with aromatic hydrocarbons with reference to their transformation in the atmosphere of an industrial region]. / Gigienicheskaia otsenka zagrianeniia vozdukha aromaticheskimi uglovodorodami s uchetom protsessov ikh transformatsii v atmosfere promyshlennogo regiona.

A procedure was developed for air pollution monitoring, which takes into account the formation of secondary pollutants due to the transformation of initial noxious agents. The formation of chemical compounds for purposeful searches for aromatic hydrocarbon transformation products was predicted in the hygienic evaluation of air pollution. Atmospheric toluene transformation was shown to give rise to phenol and formaldehyde which in the presence of nitrogen dioxide are more toxic than toluene.

[Principle of systemic quantification in the evaluation of psychoemotional tension in machine operators]. / Ispolzovanie printsipa sistemnogo kvantovaniia v otsenke psikhoémotsionalnogo napriazheniia u operatorov.

Assessment of operators state in real occupational conditions was made. The parameters taken into consideration were heart beat and pulse rate. Most difficult stages of occupational processes and psychoemotional strain of operators were determined.

[Use of the uncontrolled experiment principle in evaluating and predicting of the effect of occupational factors on stress of operator work]. / Ispol'zovanie printsipa neupravliaemogo éksperimenta v otsenke i prognozirovanii vliianiia proizvodstvennykh faktorov na napriazhennost' operatorskogo truda.

A study conducted in industrial conditions was based on the principle of uncontrolled (passive) experiment, in which the distinct values of the occupational factors could not be set by investigator. Operators spend most of their time (80-90%) at their workplace and contact with the occupational factors, so the initial data for the statistic dependences were obtained by discrete simultaneous registration of changes in the entering factors and by taking into account the exposure time and corresponding changes in physiologic parameters. Since a physiologic curve of changes in the capacity for work during the shift has peaks and slumps, the initial data were divided into two patterns--before and after the dinner break. Manifold correlation analysis and following calculation of each factor's percentage in the total dispersion revealed the main occupational factors influencing the operator's health status, the percentage of each factor. The study brought about the regression equation to evaluate and forecast the strain during the work.
